Many contaminated properties undergo redevelopment to not only provide residential housing and commerce, but to mitigate environmental impacts. Concepts such as using development structural features (e.g. paved/gravel parking lots, building slabs, turf fields, etc.) as engineered barriers to soil contaminants is becoming commonplace. Lexicon is experienced in both the environmental planning and implementation phases of property redevelopment.

We provide industrial and commercial clients with due diligence Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and NJ Preliminary Assessments (PAs) to in part satisfy CERCLA and NJ Spill Act bona fide prospective purchaser defense.

Lexicon supports municipalities and public entities with property due diligence, environmental compliance needs associated with DPWs, linear construction and specialized climate risk consulting.

We work with other environmental consultants to provide specialty and support services and to develop collaborative synergies in support of their client's goals. Our support services range from field activity oversight to specialized hydrogeologic characterization, contaminant fate & transport modeling, GIS applications and others.
